97-Year-Old Record-Breaking Italian Mechanic Doesn't Want to Retire

Published: in News by .

Fabio spent 80 years in the workshop, thus entering not only history but also the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest mechanic. Over the years, he had the opportunity to repair the cars of many celebrities, including the late Italian Prime Minister Giulio Andreotti (from 1989 to 1992).

"Car rescue" is Sabbioni's life's work, and he continues to work with the same zeal as in his youth. Despite his age, the mechanic is confident that he can continue working.

"My license has been extended for another two years," he shares with a smile, "and I will continue to save cars until I am 99 years old, and then I will try to break the 100-year mark!"

Fabio prefers petrol cars, claiming that he is not as comfortable working with electric cars. "I don't know what to do with my hands with electric cars," jokes the record-breaking mechanic.
