A fire department cat ensign in Moscow has been nominated for an international award

The department specified that the animal will compete for the title of best in the "Our Smaller Brothers" nomination.

Earlier it was reported that the cat Anatoly was awarded the rank of ensign and given miniature shoulder straps.

It is noted that the animal "attends guard mountings every day, sees off firefighters on missions and meets them." It has become a mascot.

As TASS writes, animals from the SVO zone, donor animals, service dogs and others participate in the competition "My affectionate and necessary animal".

There are also nominations for people who have saved animals or provided them with some kind of assistance.

The competition has been held since 2019 with the aim of drawing attention to the exploits of "our smaller brothers" and the actions of people who protect animals.
