US President Donald Trump has called on Russia to “make a deal” to end the war in Ukraine, promising to tighten sanctions and tariffs against Moscow if it fails to do so.
As reported by ” European Truth “, Trump wrote this on the social network Truth Social.
The American president said that he “does not want to harm Russia,” “loves the Russian people and has always had a very good relationship with Putin.” On the occasion, he recalled how “Russia helped us win World War II, losing almost 60 million lives.”
“With all of this in mind, I’m going to do Russia, whose economy is collapsing, and Putin a very big FAVOR. Deal now and stop this senseless war! IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE FROM HERE,” Trump stressed.
He said that if an “agreement” to end the war is not reached “in the near future,” he will have “no choice but to impose high taxes, duties, and sanctions on everything Russia sells to the United States and other countries affected.”
“Let’s end this war that would never have started if I were president! We can do it the easy way or the hard way – and the easy way is always better. It’s time to ‘DEAL’. NO MORE LIVES MUST BE LOST!!!” – the US president concluded.
It should be noted that on the first day of his presidency, Donald Trump stated that Vladimir Putin was destroying Russia without ending the war.
He later stated that he was ready to consider strengthening sanctions against Russia if it did not agree to negotiations to end the war in Ukraine.
