Marochko spoke about the attempt of Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups to break through the defense line near Vovchansk

According to him, the saboteurs were well equipped and acted covertly, moving in groups of three to five people.

"To divert attention, the militants of the motorized infantry brigade fired at our fortified areas from forward positions and also actively used attack UAVs," Marochko explained to the TASS agency.

One of the sabotage and reconnaissance groups came out into the open and was spotted from a Russian observation post, after which fire was opened on the saboteurs. According to Marochko, the Ukrainian military retreated, having suffered heavy losses.

"It is known that there are officers among the liquidated militants," the expert clarified.

In his opinion, the saboteurs planned to enter the rear of the Russian forward units near Volchansk in order to then break through the defensive lines of the Russian Armed Forces.

According to Marochko, another unit of the Ukrainian army has been caught in a pincer movement in the area of Novaya Kruglyakovka in the Kharkiv region. If Russian troops advance towards each other along the bank of the Lozovaya River, the Ukrainian Armed Forces risk being operationally surrounded in this area, the expert believes.
