It has become known what will be built at VDNKh

Moscow has adopted a strategy for the development of VDNKh-2030. As the capital's mayor Sergei Sobyanin specified in his Telegram channel, over the past ten years, the authorities have been working on reviving the exhibition, which has turned into a center for recreation, culture, innovation, and tourism.

"Eight out of ten people who come to Moscow visit VDNKh," the mayor emphasized.

Restoration work continues on the site. Under the "VDNKh Revival" program, renovated pavilions are opening. Among the latest ones that have been restored and are already available for visiting are pavilion No. 59 "Grain" (in December, the first Museum of Heroism in Russia was opened there), No. 1 "Central" (the Tretyakov Gallery exposition is located here). In the restored "Circular Kinopanorama" movie theater (it was opened in 1959 and had a 360-degree view), historical films and a digital film about a journey through Russia are shown on 11 restored film projectors.

Since November, the reconstruction of pavilion No. 12 "House of Polymers" has begun. The exhibition space in it will increase by 2 thousand square meters, which will allow the installation of new interactive exhibits.

At VDNKh, they plan to create a hotel complex, equip tennis courts, and implement, as Sobyanin defined, "the best ideas of landscape architecture." The country's main specialized site will be the VDNKh EXPO congress and exhibition center under construction. It is planned that over 200 events will be held there per year. The center should open in 2026.

The Museum City on the territory of VDNKh will become the main cultural and educational cluster of Russia. It will unite more than 30 objects. In the Museum City, at the main and temporary exhibitions, you can learn about the history of society, from the emergence of writing to space exploration, national cultures, industries, science and art.

VDNKh will also be developed as an all-season and 24-hour entertainment venue. It will host its own festivals, and the number of attractions in the Orion family theme park will increase more than threefold.
