What is surprising about the exhibition "Unique Russia" in Gostiny Dvor

Published: in News by .

The exhibition will run until February 9, bringing together artists, stone cutters, designers, folk craftsmen and other craftsmen from a variety of industries. This year, more than 4,000 participants from 73 regions of Russia gathered here.

"It's amazing that every year we find more and more talented people who can truly be called creators! Today we are in the largest exhibition space in Moscow, but here too we will gradually change the exposition. Otherwise, it would be impossible to have time to show the works of the 700 artists we have selected. Each of the participants confirms with their talent that Russia has something to be proud of!" – said the chairman of the organizing committee of the exhibition-forum Sergey Kolomiytsev.

And indeed, there is much to be surprised by at the exhibition. For example, it is interesting to examine a copy of Catherine II's ceremonial dress, which was recreated by Torzhok gold embroiderers. The works of masters from this city decorated the ceremonial clothes of Russian tsars for many centuries and are still an example of high art.

The most important thing is that domestic crafts not only remember the past, but also look optimistically to the future. Thus, at the exhibition you can see the works of painters of the Fedoskino factory. Here you should see boxes in a unique technique of multi-layer painting based on the motives of Soviet artists, historical samples or a collection dedicated to the popular game Atomic Heart.

By the way, you can meet a real Lefty in the pavilion. True, the skilled artist came to the capital not from Tula, but from Chuvashia. Alexander Mukhin-Cheboksarsky is famous for his miniatures, and his smallest work can be seen at the exhibition.

"It broke all Russian records, its size is only 0.5 cm by 0.5 cm. I will provide a magnifying glass to anyone who wants to see the portrait of my student Katya Sidorova more easily. I painted it with a brush made of squirrel and kolinsky, leaving only one hair on the base," the artist shared his technique.

It is worth coming to "Unique Russia" also for the cultural program. You can enjoy the music of the peoples of the world at the music festival of folklore groups "VotEtno!". The fashion festival "Looking to the East" will open with a show of new collections from leading designers. And lovers of thoughtful productions should definitely see the play "Yellow Tango" based on the texts of Alexander Vertinsky.

This year, special attention was paid to historical pavilions, where they decided to remember important anniversary dates. One of the main zones is dedicated to the 325th anniversary of the Assay Chamber of Russia. In the exhibition, you can see the works of modern jewelers and get acquainted with reproductions of items created by Faberge, Khlebnikov and other masters of the past.
