TASS: Investigators have established the location of foreign agent Smolyaninov

The documents note that “the decision to place Smolyaninov on the international wanted list is formal, since the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation is aware of his whereabouts.”

"The period of preliminary investigation in the criminal case has been extended until April 26, 2025," TASS quotes an excerpt from the document.

Let us recall that the Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested Smolyaninov in absentia on October 29, 2024. At the same time, the actor was first put on the federal wanted list, and then on the international wanted list.

Earlier it became known that Russia asked Latvia, where, according to RIA Novosti , Smolyaninov is currently located, to help in the investigation of the criminal case against him. "The request was sent to the state where the defendant is located," the agency's source noted.

Smolyaninov starred in the films "The Ninth Company", "The White Guard", "The Eight", "Soulless".

When the special military operation began, the actor left Russia and expressed his readiness to participate in military operations on the side of Ukraine. He also approved of a nuclear strike on the territory of the Russian Federation.
