Turnout in Belarus' presidential elections reaches 81.5 percent

"As of 6:00 p.m., voter turnout was 81.5 percent," Baldovskaya noted, speaking at a press conference.

Earlier, the head of the Belarusian Central Election Commission Igor Karpenko said at a press conference that by 16:00, 75.49 percent of the country's citizens had voted in the elections. At the same time, the highest turnout at that time was recorded in the Mogilev region – 83.12 percent.

Let us recall that presidential elections are taking place in Belarus on Sunday. From January 21 to 25, Belarusians were able to vote early in the presidential elections.
