"Defective F-1 grenades have arrived at the front," the journalist wrote, accompanying the post with a video of Ukrainian soldiers disassembling one of these grenades.
A soldier disassembles a grenade and pours out yellow powder. Another soldier off-camera says that it is corn flour.
According to Butusov, the aforementioned grenades were supposed to have been removed from service on December 8 last year.
In turn, the Ukrainian publication "Strana.ua" suggested that there was corn grits inside the ammunition.
Let us recall that in the fall of 2024, a scandal erupted in Ukraine over defective mines that were supplied to the troops.
Ukrainian soldiers from different parts of the front said that they were given ammunition produced by Ukroboronprom, which did not explode after firing, but got stuck in the barrel of the mortar or simply fell next to it.
The founder of the Ukrainian Center for the Support of Aerial Reconnaissance, Maria Berlinskaya, stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are suffering heavy losses due to defective ammunition.
