A case worth tens of millions of rubles: St. Petersburg police on the detention of a UFAS official

The criminal case was opened by investigators of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs based on materials from the FSB Directorate of Russia for the city of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. The actions of the official are classified under Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation as abuse of office in the sphere of public procurement.
According to the investigation, the suspect, together with her as yet unidentified colleagues, made decisions in favor of unscrupulous entrepreneurs participating in government procurement.
"According to preliminary data, we may be talking about contracts worth tens of millions of rubles," says a statement from the press service of the St. Petersburg Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During the investigative and operational activities on January 29, the suspect was detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation, pending the selection of a preventive measure by the court. The investigation of the criminal case continues.
According to a TASS source, the defendant in the criminal case is the deputy head of the St. Petersburg UFAS, Ekaterina Danilovskaya. At the same time, she is the head of the department for monitoring the placement of state orders at the UFAS.
