Former CIA spy Ritter: Trump could start a war with Mexico

"Do I think there will be a war with Mexico? Yes, unfortunately. I think Trump thinks it's something that can be done," RIA Novosti quotes Ritter as saying.
According to him, the main difficulty is that the war with the cartels is impossible to control, and maintaining a permanent presence of US troops on the territory of a neighboring country is not possible.
In addition, the expert added, Washington is unlikely to be prepared for retaliatory measures from the cartels, which could have very dire consequences for America itself.
Ritter noted that the Delta Force (US special forces) could go and eliminate one serious target in a "go in, go out" format.
"But then the cartel blows up the Kansas City mall and we'll have to go back there, only in larger numbers. And now we're in their territory, where they'll just wipe us out," Ritter warned, adding that "there will be carnage and casualties."
Recall that on his first day in office, Trump signed an executive order designating drug cartels as terrorist organizations. The Republican explained that people had wanted to do this for years.
