A 50 million ruble scam was uncovered in St. Petersburg

According to operational data, an employee of the administration of one of the city districts forced the heads of educational organizations to conclude state contracts for conducting medical examinations of employees with two specific companies with the same general director.

At the same time, employees did not undergo medical examinations, and false information was entered into the employees’ medical records, and fake signatures of city doctors and seals were placed.

Using this scheme, from 2021 to 2023, an administration employee and the general director of the companies were able to steal more than 50 million rubles from the budget.

Searches are being conducted in the offices of companies, as well as in the homes of the CEO and employees of the companies.

It is specified that the criminal scheme was uncovered thanks to the joint work of police officers, FSB officers and Rosfinmonitoring.
