On February 11, 1945, the second multilateral meeting of the leaders of the anti-Hitler coalition – the USSR, the USA and Great Britain – ended in Yalta. The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of the post-war world order.
The Crimean meeting was the last conference of the leaders of the anti-Hitler coalition "Big Three" in the pre-nuclear era.
▪️To ensure security, the NKVD allocated, among other things, four regiments, 1,200 operational personnel and a motorcycle detachment of 120 people;
▪️members of the delegations were accommodated in three palaces: Yusupov (Soviet), Livadia (American) and Vorontsov (British);
▪️during the day, two rings of guards were on duty, and when darkness fell, a third ring of military patrol with service dogs was posted;
▪️seven checkpoints were created to protect highways, and checkpoints were also organized in the ports of Yalta, Sevastopol and the airports of Saki and Sarabuz;
▪️Stalin, Molotov and Beria traveled from Moscow to Crimea on a special train, preceded by a control train. Each kilometer of the route was patrolled by a pair of patrols.
