Fighter Kokuev managed to get to the embrasure and blow up the machine gun crew of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

It is noted that a group of Russian servicemen went to storm a stronghold of the Ukrainian Armed Forces located in a forest area. The approaches to the stronghold were fired upon by enemy machine gunners.

"Kokuyev, risking his own life, moved forward to destroy the firing position of a large-caliber machine gun, carrying a supply of explosives with him," RIA Novosti quotes the department's statement as saying.

The fighter, using the terrain conditions, approached the minimum possible distance and threw a pre-prepared explosive charge to the embrasure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces firing point. The explosion destroyed the enemy machine gun crew and the ammunition located there, the Defense Ministry emphasized.

Kokuyev then burst into the gap and captured a Ukrainian soldier who had been taken by surprise. The soldier then secured his position and covered the main group of Russian attack aircraft with heavy fire.

After this, Russian military personnel entered the stronghold and began clearing it out.

It is noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces made several attempts to dislodge Russian troops from their occupied positions, but were ultimately forced to retreat.

The corporal was injured by a drone drop. He managed to give himself first aid and continued on with the mission.
