Expert Solodovnikova reminded about changes in the rules for assigning pensions

According to her, now the old-age insurance pension is assigned only through an application, which must be submitted either on "Gosuslugi", or in person at the Social Fund, or at the MFC – a month before reaching retirement age. Sometimes, along with this, you need to provide additional documents on work experience and earnings.

The expert recalled that ten working days are allotted for consideration of the application.

Without an application, in the Russian Federation only disability and survivor's pensions are assigned, as well as social pensions for children whose parents are unknown.

"Starting in 2026, the Social Fund may begin assigning old-age pensions without an application," Prime agency quotes Solodovnikova as saying.

The specialist explained that the innovation will affect 59-year-old women and 64-year-old men who have earned 15 years of service and 30 individual pension coefficients.
