Mordovia tops the list of regions with the cheapest pancakes

This is indicated by the results of the "Pancake Index" compiled by the Center for Strategic Research together with SysoevFM. Based on statistical data, experts calculated the cost of a set of products for preparing a traditional Maslenitsa treat. This is wheat flour – 280 g, milk – 500 ml, 4 eggs, 70 g sugar, 5 g salt, 50 ml vegetable oil and 500 ml boiling water.

It turned out that the most affordable pancakes are in the regions of the Volga Federal District. Here, a set of products for this dish will cost an average of 104 rubles 89 kopecks. And residents of the Far Eastern Federal District will have to spend 157 rubles 49 kopecks. This is the highest figure in the country.

In addition to Mordovia, the top regions with the cheapest pancakes included Adygea, Orenburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Kirov regions, Bashkortostan, Udmurtia, Tatarstan, Samara region and Chuvashia.

According to experts, in 2025, the average Russian salary can bake almost 41 thousand pancakes – 12% more than a year ago. The largest number is in Moscow and Tyumen – 77 and 62 thousand pancakes, respectively. The smallest number is in Ingushetia and Chechnya – 15 thousand pancakes.

Among the EAEU countries (in terms of the Russian ruble), the cheapest pancakes are in Belarus and Kazakhstan: 96.59 and 107.7 rubles, respectively. At the same time, the average salary here allows you to bake fewer pancakes than in Russia – about 30 thousand pieces. In Kyrgyzstan, a set for preparing this dish will cost 136.54, and in Armenia – 169.75 rubles.
