Italy Enters Russia's Top Three Trading Partners in Europe

At the same time, Belarus remains our country's main trading partner in Europe for the second year in a row, with trade volumes growing by 7.4% and amounting to $57.6 billion. Germany is in second place, with trade turnover with this country decreasing by almost 22% in 2024 and amounting to $9.5 billion.

Italy rounded out the top three for the first time since 2015, despite a 10% decline in trade volumes to $8.4 billion.

Also among the top ten European countries with high volumes of sales of goods with Russia in 2024 were France ($6.4 billion), Hungary ($6.2 billion), the Netherlands ($6.1 billion), Belgium ($5.1 billion), Poland ($4.7 billion), Slovakia ($4 billion) and Spain ($3.5 billion).

Earlier, RG wrote that in 2024, Russia increased trade relations with five EU countries. These are Ireland, Croatia, France, Slovenia and Sweden.
