"In Khabarovsk Krai, after switching to a digital control system, traffic has opened on new tracks on the Chebangda – Bureinsk section of the Fevralsk – Novy Urgal section," the company's press service reported .

During construction, 18.9 km of new track and over 180 km of various communication lines and electrical networks were laid here.

The new section runs along the Bureya River. In order to protect the routes from floods, specialists have built drainage ditches and canals, reconstructed eight culverts and built seven bridges. It is emphasized that after the completion of the work, the bioresources of the rivers adjacent to the railway will be replenished with young sturgeon, chum salmon and Kaluga.

In addition, traffic has opened on new second tracks in the Amur Region on the Belenkaya – Zabolotnoye section of the Tynda – Shturm section, which connects the BAM and the Trans-Siberian Railway.

"During the work, the Yefremov siding was converted into a double-track insert. About 4 km of new track and more than 100 km of communication lines and electrical networks were laid here," Russian Railways reported.

They specified that this section is located in the permafrost zone, so to prevent its melting and subsidence of the track, the slopes of the roadbed were covered with cooling rock fill. Its volume exceeds 18 thousand cubic meters.

"The development of infrastructure will increase the line's carrying capacity and help to increase freight traffic in communication with the Far East," the company emphasized.
