In Transbaikalia, restrictions on mobile Internet have been introduced in a number of areas

As reported by the government of Zabaikalsky Krai, the restrictions affected smartphones and other devices that work via SIM cards, in particular, payment terminals. It is necessary to have cash on you, arrange for communication with loved ones via SMS and calls, write down the numbers of taxi services and emergency services.

The restrictions do not apply to voice communications, wired Internet and Wi-Fi. The inconvenience is temporary, but you can use the Internet without problems at home, at work and in public places. Residents have been warned – it is prohibited to install cellular signal amplifiers (repeaters) without permission. Administrative liability is provided for this.

The restrictions were introduced due to changes in the operational situation and as a preventative measure against network threats.
