The IAC will investigate the crash of a sprayer plane in the Tambov region

The department recalled that this morning, at about 10:00 Moscow time, during a flight in the area of the village of Grazhdanovka in the Bondarsky municipal district of the Tambov region, a private light aircraft SP-30 (registration number RA-0142A) collided with the ground.

There was only a pilot on board the aircraft; he died.

"The Interstate Aviation Committee will investigate the crash with the participation of the Central Interregional Territorial Administration of the Federal Air Transport Agency," the agency's representative said.

The case will be conducted in accordance with the rules for investigating aviation accidents and incidents involving civil aircraft in the Russian Federation. The main goal is to establish the causes of the disaster and take measures to prevent them in the future, the report notes.

It was previously reported that the light aircraft was cultivating agricultural land in the Bondarsky municipal district of the Tambov region. A criminal case has been opened regarding the forced landing of the aircraft.
