Russians will be able to refuse spam calls from September 1

You can unsubscribe from spam calls in your personal account on the mobile operator’s website or in the application.

In addition, all calls from organizations and individual entrepreneurs will be marked. Telecom operators must provide the client with information about who is calling.

Thus, when a call comes in, the name of the company or individual entrepreneur, or their commercial designation, as well as the call category – for example, "Bank", "Advertising", "Real Estate", "Communication Services" – will appear on the smartphone screen. The text of the message can contain up to 32 characters.

This measure is provided for by the law on the protection of Russians from fraudsters.

Earlier, State Duma deputy Anton Nemkin recalled that from September 1, a law on fines for transferring SIM cards to third parties will come into effect. It will not be possible to buy a SIM card for a friend, colleague or neighbor. This may result in a fine. However, it is still possible to buy SIM cards for children or parents.
