Putin Meets Pashinyan at SCO Summit in China

The meeting began after a reception in honor of the heads of delegations who arrived for the summit, as well as guests invited by Chinese President Xi Jinping.

"I am very glad to see you and have the opportunity to talk on the sidelines of today's and tomorrow's events. We haven't seen each other for a long time, and many questions have accumulated, bilateral, regional, international. I hope that our meeting with you today <…> will be useful and meaningful," Putin said.

The events are taking place at the Meijiang International Convention and Exhibition Center in Tianjin, China.

Putin arrived in China this morning for a four-day visit.

The official summit program starts on September 1.
