Festivals for the whole family: see a fairy tale parade, a fire show and go on quests

With the support of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality", the infrastructure and sphere of children's entertainment are actively developing: amusement parks and water parks are being built, more family-type hotels are appearing. Traveling around Russia is becoming more interesting, safer, more accessible and more comfortable.
"Fatfoot" invites you
The IV International Festival of Fairy Tales and Crafts "Tolstopiaty" is a family holiday. It unites folklore, traditions and crafts of the peoples of Russia. For three days, from September 5 to 7, the main pedestrian street of Penza – Moskovskaya – will become like a fairy tale: heroes of epics, legends, myths and fables will fill the city center.
Several areas are dedicated to traditional Yakut, Chuvash, Cossack fairy tales, and the culture of northern peoples. The Technological Training Center will offer creative and inspiring classes. Guests will enjoy free master classes, performances, interactive readings, concerts, a fashion show, and a special immersive performance.
"Onfim gathers friends"
The 10th All-Russian festival of children's museum programs "Onfim gathers friends" will be held in Veliky Novgorod.
On September 6, more than a dozen thematic fields will be set up in the Novgorod Kremlin, where about a hundred quests, games, excursions, master classes, performances and other activities will take place simultaneously.
Creative and educational programs for children will be presented by museums from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk, Smolensk and other cities. Festival guests will be able to see a puppet "theatre on hands", get acquainted with fairy tale plots, hear tales of Suvorov peasants, play traditional folk games and ancient musical instruments, learn to work with birch bark and on a potter's wheel.
Fire, water and copper pipes
The international festival of pyrotechnic art "Silver Boat" is held annually in Kostroma. This year it is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland.
On September 6, pyrotechnicians from Kostroma, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Samara and Minsk will give unforgettable impressions to the audience. Each team will present a fire program dedicated to one of the significant events of the war years. Specialists from St. Petersburg – the siege of Leningrad, from the Russian capital – the battle for Moscow. The Volga water area in the central part of Kostroma will also become the stage for the fire show. The pyrotechnic performance will be accompanied by musical compositions performed by brass bands.

Last year, residents of our country made more than 90 million tourist trips around Russia. The goal of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" is to ensure at least 140 million such trips annually by 2030 and increase the share of the tourism industry in GDP to 5%.
