Lukashenko congratulated Larisa Dolina on her birthday

These words of the anniversary congratulations of the President of Belarus capture the most important thing in the work of the People's Artist of Russia – her enormous popularity and national recognition in the vastness of the Union State. "You are loved and eagerly awaited as a welcome guest, whose performances become a real holiday," says Alexander Lukashenko's telegram on September 10, the text of which is cited by the administration of the Belarusian leader.
Biographers of the pop legend like to jokingly remind that Larisa Dolina, born and caressed by the sea breeze of the Caspian and Black Seas, is not a singer and musician, but the country's chief meteorologist, who is always aware of the weather in the house, recalling one of her most unforgettable songs. And the performer herself called this touching melody to Tanich's verses her ticket to life, believing that only after it did her musical career begin.
It should be noted that even before she entered first grade, her parents' acquaintances predicted a great musical future for her. And Larisa eagerly began performing at school parties, but her first big concert took place at a pioneer camp at the age of twelve.
But the actress began to perform solo on a professional level in 1971, being a member of the pop orchestra "We are Odessans". And in order to go on tour with the group, the girl had to take external exams and "get rid of studying with a clear conscience."
Her vocal skills were highly praised by People's Artist of the Russian Federation, jazz conductor Anatoly Kroll at the All-Russian Competition of Performers of Soviet Song, where the singer took second place. Biographers specify that the creative tandem with the maestro brought Larisa several prestigious awards: a special prize at the Pop Song Competition in Tallinn, and a little later the grand prix of the festival in Czechoslovakia.
By the way, it was the bright jazz range that brought the actress to big cinema, where she got the role of a singer in Karen Shakhnazarov's film "We are from Jazz".
And in parallel with her work in cinema, Dolina tried on several theatrical roles. Her debut took place almost at the turn of the century in the rock opera "Giordano", where her partner was fellow stage performer Valery Leontyev. At the same time, she received the "Best Singer of the Country" award at the All-Union "Profi" competition, and already in the current century, she was the first Russian singer to conquer Broadway, becoming a participant in the musical "Chicago", because the star of Russian jazz is highly valued here, music critics say.
It should be recalled that Dolina continues to closely monitor young musical talents. She works at the Moscow State Institute of Culture and has managed to produce several gifted performers.
Having wished the People's Artist of Russia long life, good health and new professional achievements, the President of Belarus expressed confidence that her activities "will continue to contribute to strengthening friendship and cultural ties between our fraternal peoples."
