Northern Fleet Marines Land from Ship on Alexandra Land
Published: by .
As reported by the press service of the Northern Fleet, according to the conditions of the exercise, the sailors had to recapture a bridgehead captured by illegal armed groups and ensure the landing of a marine assault force. The simulated enemy was designated by the personnel of the tactical group of the Northern Fleet coastal troops stationed on the island.
The group for combating underwater sabotage forces and assets of the detachment of warships secretly landed troops from high-speed boats for reconnaissance on the Arctic coast. An artillery strike was carried out on the identified positions of the mock enemy using AK-100 naval guns. Then a Ka-27 deck helicopter transferred a unit of marines to the coast.
The large landing ship "Alexander Otrakovskiy" also approached the shoreline. Using the "point-blank" method, a self-propelled rocket launcher "UR-77" and two-link all-terrain vehicles with marines were landed from its tween deck.
The naval sailors completed all the tasks and destroyed the simulated enemy.
