High pressure in Moscow breaks previously set daily records

Today at 8 a.m. at the capital's base weather station, VDNKh, atmospheric pressure reached 762.9 mm Hg, which is 0.1 mm Hg higher than it was on this day exactly 10 years ago, Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, reported on his Telegram channel.

"Thus, the daily record for high atmospheric pressure has been updated in Moscow," he wrote.

By the way, at 10 a.m. on September 13, the atmospheric pressure at the same weather station was 763 mm Hg, clarified the chief specialist of the capital's meteorological bureau, Tatyana Pozdnyakova.

On Sunday, Moscow is also forecast to have high pressure and another daily record. The highest on September 14 was in 1949, when the barometers rose to 758.6 millimeters of mercury, noted forecaster Leus. Tomorrow, according to him, the barometers in the capital will show 761 millimeters of mercury.

Normal atmospheric pressure is considered to be 760 mm Hg.
