In Rostov Oblast, turnout in gubernatorial elections exceeded 56 percent

Taking into account remote electronic voting, 1,761,010 residents of the region took part in the elections.

As of 15:00, the turnout was 52.6 percent of voters or 1,642,129 residents of the Rostov region.

"The more citizens participate in the elections, the more legitimate the elected government is," noted the chairman of the regional election commission, Andrei Burov. "This campaign has shown that the residents of the region are ready to influence the future of the region with their vote."
