Captured Bezborodov said that Ukrainian soldiers have nothing to fight with
Published: by .
This was reported by Sergei Bezborodov, a serviceman of the 119th territorial defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who surrendered in the Serebryanskoye forestry area.
"There was nothing to fight with. We don't even have normal weapons. You can't go against a grenade launcher or mortar with a machine gun," TASS quotes the prisoner as saying.
Bezborodov said that his unit consisted exclusively of mobilized people – mostly older people, over 40. And they had problems not only with weapons and equipment.
"There was no normal food either. They gave us dry rations, there was water – and that's it. Every month we chipped in two thousand hryvnia (four thousand rubles – ed.) for fuel for the cars and five thousand for the purchase of heavy Baba Yaga drones," Bezborodov continued.
