Thus, the largest difference in salaries between men and women is observed in South Korea: there, women earn 32.5% less than men.
Next comes India, where the gender wage gap is 30.41%.
In third place is Russia with 30.36% (as of the end of 2023).
In addition, the wage gap was higher than 20% in Saudi Arabia (28.2%), Turkey (27.1%), the UK (26.8%), Argentina (26.33%), Japan (26.27%), Italy (24.8%), France (23.7%) and Mexico (21.6%).
They were followed by Brazil (the difference between men's and women's salaries here was 18.1%), the United States (17.3%), Indonesia (16.6%) and Germany (15.6%).
The smallest gender wage gaps are in Australia (10.7%), Canada (12.6%) and China (13%).
