A St. Petersburg court has arrested a man whose package exploded at a post office.

As a reminder, the incident occurred on the evening of September 24 at a post office located on Obukhovskoy Oborony Avenue in a seven-story residential building. A package exploded. No one was injured, and 10 people were evacuated.
The Nevsky District Court of St. Petersburg ordered the man's pretrial detention. He is accused of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 205 of the Russian Criminal Code.
"The measure will be effective November 24, 2025," the publication states.
According to investigators, the parcel contained a polymer tube with an unidentified explosive substance inside.
The owner of the parcel was detained on September 25 and charged the same day.
