The IPC has reinstated the Russian Paralympic Committee.

The vote took place at the organization's General Assembly meeting in Seoul. In the first round of voting, 111 delegates voted against the full suspension of the RPC, 55 voted in favor, and 11 abstained. In the second round, delegates voted to lift the partial suspension of the RPC: 91 voted in favor, 77 voted against, and 8 abstained, TASS reports.

Russia's membership in the organization was suspended in 2023.

The President of the Communist Party of the Kyrgyz Republic, Pavel Rozhkov, now hopes to achieve the return of the country's flag and anthem.

"We hope that at the upcoming tournaments, our athletes will perform with their country's flag and anthem. But work on this issue still remains," he noted.

Rozhkov noted that the IPC has proven that the organization always prioritizes protecting the rights of athletes.
