The 485th separate helicopter regiment is based at the Mozdok military airfield. This is one of the airfields from which MiG-31K aircraft take off.
Ukrainian drones attempted to attack North Ossetia, and the target of the attack was allegedly an airfield where MiG-31K and Tu-22M3 aircraft are based. This was reported on June 8 by the Russian Defense Ministry and the head of the republic, Sergei Menyailo.
It is noted that one UAV was shot down. According to the head of the region, three drones were flying to the military airfield. According to the Russians, there are no casualties or damage.
As is known, the Mozdok military airfield is located in North Ossetia. The 485th separate helicopter regiment is based there. This is one of the airfields from which MiG-31K aircraft, which are carriers of the Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, take off.
