Retro Photo Heroes Are Being Looked For in Karelia

The National Museum of Karelia has come up with an unusual initiative. It has invited everyone to visit the exhibition and take a retro photo.

The composition of this photo by Evgeny Bleikhman, taken in 1988, will be attempted to be repeated in the Karelia Museum.
This photo of boys looking at birds with interest was taken by photographer Evgeny Bleikhman in 1988. The children were at the exhibition "Wintering Birds of Karelia" at the Karelian State Museum of Local History, as it was called at the time and was located in a different building.
There is a similar exhibition in the National Museum of Karelia, it is called "Nature: with thoughts about the future". Children are not only invited to visit the museum, see this exhibition, but also to take part in master classes.
And also – to repeat the idea of retro photography by Evgeny Bleikhman. That is, to take a photo exactly the same way, near one of the shop windows.
Visitors were interested in the idea, noting that the museum once had a large department of Karelian nature. Therefore, they would like to hope that the traditions would be preserved.
