In Indonesia, crocodiles imitate drowning people to lure victims

Not far from the shore, the reptiles dip their heads under water and raise their paws to the sky. At first glance, this really does resemble a drowning person.
Crocodiles are much smarter than they are given credit for, says expert Brandon Sidelo. They may have developed sophisticated hunting techniques over the millennia. However, it is possible that the reptiles spin underwater and lift their paws into the air when putting food in their mouths. However, we are not sure.
Meanwhile, reptile attacks kill 100 people a year in Indonesia, where people firmly believe that crocodiles and alligators are capable of being cunning and delivering a surprise attack.
