The authors of the publication believe that the North Atlantic Alliance agreed at the summit in Brussels to begin a new operation against the Russian Federation.

"Apparently, a second NATO sub-organization is being created in the Baltic Sea region," the article says.

According to the publication, the Joint Expeditionary Force, which has existed since 2018, will strengthen monitoring of critical infrastructure in the Baltic Sea.

"They have launched Operation Northern Guardian and are using artificial intelligence to monitor ships and also to assess risks," the published material notes.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that the European military bloc would significantly increase its presence in the Baltic Sea.

It was also reported that NATO countries wanted to control foreign ships both in their own territorial waters of the Baltic Sea and outside them. In particular, Poland is ready to "work on such legal possibilities that will allow controlling ships located outside territorial waters," the country's Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasized.
