Janis Timma received 1.5 million rubles three weeks before his death

"They confirmed to me that the Alikson team paid for Janis' participation in their team in full. He (the source – ed. "Kinokratiya") does not know in what format, but the total amount of compensation was 1.5 million rubles," Gatis Linins told the publication. Timma's friend believes that part of the money could have been withdrawn through someone to pay off credit card debts.

The basketball player died on December 17 in Moscow, just a week after his divorce from the former vocalist of the group "VIA Gra" Anna Sedokova. The cause of death, as reported , was suicide.

A few days ago, Janis Timma's relatives announced that they could not bury his ashes due to a delay in issuing a death certificate.

Earlier it became known that forensic examination in Latvia allows for a criminal version of the basketball player's death. A version of the athlete's murder due to fixed matches has also been put forward.
