Zelensky congratulated Trump on taking office as president twice in one day

In his post, Zelensky called Trump's inauguration "a day of change," wished him success, and also stated that he "looks forward to active and mutually beneficial cooperation."

He also called the Republican "decisive" and expressed hope for "strengthening American leadership" in the world.

Zelensky called the new US president a "strong man" and once again wished him and "all of America" success.

According to him, "Ukrainians are ready to act together with the Americans" to achieve peace.

However, in his inauguration speech he did not mention Russia and Ukraine .

As Trump's son Barron previously reported, Zelensky requested an invitation to the inauguration three times , but was refused all three times.

Trump himself reported that he did not invite Zelensky to his event, but at the same time indicated that if he wanted to attend, he could come.

Zelensky later said that he had refused to travel to the United States for the inauguration of the new president due to alleged “affairs in Ukraine.”
