Officials will be responsible for the quality of life of people

This division of responsibility follows from the new decree on the assessment of the performance of civil servants, signed by the region's governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev. It states that persons holding government positions are responsible for achieving the planned values (levels) of performance indicators of the executive branch. According to the document, officials must submit their plans for achieving the desired goal by January 20 of each year, and on June 20, they must clarify the "road map" based on current conditions. Each of the most important areas of life, from medicine and roads to sports and ecology, will have its own responsible person from among the ministers and deputy prime ministers.

In total, the list of KPIs (key performance indicators) includes 21 items. Thus, the chairman of the regional government is now responsible for the number of families that have improved their housing conditions and the volume of new houses put into operation. The quality of the living environment in key settlements, which will include ecology and utilities, is under the supervision of the deputy chairman in charge of energy and housing and utilities.

The share of regional roads that meet standards and the share of public transport with a short service life were included in the area of responsibility of the Minister of Transport and Highways of the region.

The authorities promise to constantly monitor the situation and report to residents. After all, last autumn, Samara Oblast was among the regions with the highest number of citizens' complaints about dissatisfaction with their lives.
