Expert Balynin calculated how the pension of an 80-year-old Russian will grow

This is due to the fact that, starting this year, they began to receive additional payments in addition to their indexed pensions, he explained.

Let's say, says the expert, that in December 2024 the insurance pension of such a citizen was 35,750 rubles. In January, it increased by 7.3% and reached 38,359.75 rubles. In addition, a double fixed payment of 8,728.73 rubles and an additional payment of 1,287.60 rubles were accrued to it, which since 2025 has been assigned to all citizens with a first-group disability or who have reached the age of 80. Thus, the January pension of the December anniversary person has already increased by more than 10 thousand rubles in the first month of the year to 48,376.08 rubles.

In February, there will be an additional indexation of pensions, Balynin recalled. This is due to the fact that, according to Rosstat, inflation for the past year exceeded 7.3% and amounted to 9.52%. At the same time, both the pension itself and additional payments to it will increase. Thus, the doubled fixed payment will now amount to 8907.70 rubles, and the additional payment – 1314 rubles. The total amount that the 80-year-old December anniversary will receive next month will be 49,367.95 rubles. His pension will be accrued in this amount monthly.

However, together with the February pension, Russians will receive additional indexation to the January insurance pension and additional payments. In our case, the additional payment will be 991.87 rubles, the expert specified.

As a result, a citizen who celebrated his 80th birthday in December last year will be paid 50,359.82 rubles for February, he concluded.
