One of Ovechkin's NHL goals has been revealed

The player's agent Gleb Chistyakov, who represents Ovechkin in Russia, spoke about whether the forward plans to break the NHL record for the number of seasons with 50 or more goals.

"I know he said that he would like to play 1,500 matches. That's also an epochal figure for players. I don't know about 50+ goals, I didn't ask," Ovechkin's team's Telegram channel quotes the agent as saying.

So far, the record for the number of such seasons belongs to three players at once: Wayne Gretzky, Mike Bossy and Ovechkin.

The Russian also continues to chase Gretzky's record for the number of goals scored in regular NHL championships. So far, Ovechkin is 18 goals behind the Canadian.
