The State Duma approved the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure Russia's national interests

The Chairman of the House of Parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin, stated that the constructive dialogue between deputies and the Russian Foreign Ministry allows them to work out decisions on the most complex issues. He thanked Lavrov for the work that the ministry is doing under his leadership in the area of international politics. "This atmosphere, the constructive dialogue with the ministry, it means a lot, and it is not easy when we work out decisions on the most complex issues," Volodin added. According to him, the minister's speech in the State Duma immediately after returning from negotiations in Saudi Arabia is a manifestation of respect for the people's representatives.

"Of course, here we also understand our responsibility, because the parliament must be together with the ministry, with the minister, in defending the interests of our country," the speaker emphasized.

Sergey Lavrov has been leading the country to victories in difficult conditions for 21 years, and his role in the formation of a new global majority is great, said the leader of the LDPR faction, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky. "Today we must talk about the fact that in Russia's foreign policy a stable tandem has been formed between the President of Russia, who is today the most authoritative politician on the planet, and our Minister of Foreign Affairs," he said. According to Slutsky, Lavrov "is very effectively, very coolly, cheerfully, with fire, but most importantly, effectively working out those programmatic guidelines of the President of Russia, which today have already led to the formation on all continents of a new global majority for a multipolar world, for the peaceful and balanced development of the world political system."

According to the adopted resolution, the deputies decided to "approve the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation to ensure national interests and implement strategic national priorities of the Russian Federation." The resolution will be sent to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the Federation Council, committees, commissions and factions of the State Duma, the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation.
