CSKA beat Dynamo in first Moscow derby of KHL season

On Saturday, the first derby of the KHL season took place in Moscow. CSKA hosted Dynamo. This game was the first for the new Army coach Igor Nikitin after his return to the club from Yaroslavl Lokomotiv.
Already in the opening twenty minutes, the hosts hit the opponent's goal three times. Pavel Karnaukhov, Kirill Dolzhenkov and Denis Guryanov distinguished themselves. The Dynamo players responded to this with an accurate throw from Nikita Gusev.
In the second period, Daniel Sprong increased the advantage of the army team. And in the third, Kirill Adamchuk was able to reduce the gap to two goals, but in the end, Ivan Drozdov and Vitaly Abramov established the final result – 6:2.
In another match, Magnitogorsk's Metallurg beat Kazan's Ak Bars in a shootout – 4:3. This victory was Magnitka's 750th in the KHL.
