Enthusiast independently improves the capital of Kyrgyzstan

– A person falls into childhood with age, – he says. – So I always remembered the best time of my life with special warmth, and its symbol was the "night beauties" carefully grown by my parents. I was born in the Leilek district of southern Kyrgyzstan, where people really like to grow plants. That's why there were almost always flowers around the house.

In general, according to Amirov, flowers have accompanied him all his life. After finishing school, Rakhmatilla went into the army. He served in Hungary, and there every yard and balcony is decorated with flower beds. He often remembers his time in service with warmth and dreams of creating the same flower beds in Bishkek as the residents of Hungary. The man worked as a loader in stores and warehouses all his life. It is hard work, but flowers always warmed his soul.

Amirov bought his first seeds at the market, planted 50 meters, then another hundred – and off it went.

– I have twin grandchildren, a boy and a girl. Once they came to visit and saw that along one side of the sidewalk the flowers grew to the end, but along the other side they did not. They were surprised and asked me to finish what I started, – the amateur flower grower recalls, – and thanks to them I now plant the sidewalks on both sides of the road.

Then Amirov started growing morning glory along the school fence. They quickly twined around the metal lattice fence, and it turned out, as in the song, a whole sea of flowers. Schoolchildren like to run past the eye-pleasing fence during physical education lessons.

In addition to growing flowers, Rakhmatilla independently improves the area around it, fertilizes the soil, and whitewashes the trees. The hardest time is during the hot season. Flowers require constant watering, and there is not always water in the irrigation ditches. He has to order a water truck. On average, this all costs up to 100 thousand soms per season. But this does not bother him at all. The main thing is that the soul rejoices. Rakhmatilla is especially pleased when people stop, inhale the aroma of flowers, and take pictures.

In autumn, the period of collecting the "harvest", that is, the seeds, begins. Rakhmatilla remembers how as a child he collected black peas of seeds. They easily fall into the hand, you just need to lightly pick them up with your finger. The man not only collects them for himself, but also gives them to others. His seeds have already been taken to Russia, Germany, the USA.

Recently, the flower collection was replenished with cannas – bright red flowers. But they require more careful care and proper maintenance of tubers in the winter. The enthusiast's dream is to plant the entire district with flowers. But difficulties with watering do not allow it to be realized. In addition, the city administration plans to completely remove the wholesale newspaper market, allegedly it creates a traffic jam on the nearest road.

– We all live one day at a time, so I can't say yet whether I'll plant everything around, – the florist sighs. – I really want to stay in this place.

Many people wonder: does the enthusiast really do all this alone? Do city structures help? No. Rakhmatilla does everything on his own. But how many people are grateful to him for his wonderful mood!

– They come into the kiosk, are happy, delighted and surprised at how I manage to do this alone, – Amirov shares. – One woman says that her way home does not pass here at all, but she makes a special detour to admire the flowers.
