Legislative Assembly deputies monitored the progress of park improvement in the center of Novosibirsk

The Chairman of the regional parliament Andriy Shymkiv, deputies of the new, eighth, convocation and specialists inspected the territory and familiarized themselves with the reconstruction of objects near the building of the Legislative Assembly on Kirov Street, 3. First of all, we are talking about the fountain.

The first stage of the work is currently being completed: repairs to roads and sidewalks are being carried out, flights of stairs are being erected, underground utilities will be installed in accordance with the "Clear Sky" project. The summer fountain is being repaired in a single complex with the park.

The Legislative Assembly deputies drew attention to the paving slabs laid in the park, the well-thought-out organization of the space, and the preservation of green spaces.

– There was a clear instruction that not a single living tree would be touched. In principle, that's how it turned out. From now on, we will only add to it. The park is a living organism, which as long as it exists, needs to be planted, replanted, trimmed, and so on, – said Andrey Shimkiv, emphasizing that he retains control over the improvement of "Bugakov Park".

The fountain contours are almost ready. The lining of the large and 12 small bowls is completely done, and the communications are installed. 24 nozzles have been installed in the large bowl – their operation was demonstrated in test mode. Next, 14 more nozzles will be installed – a total of 38 instead of the previously existing five. The fountain will be light-dynamic: each nozzle is equipped with LED equipment.

The fountain is planned to be launched by the first session of the Legislative Assembly, which will take place on September 25. In addition, the improvement of the territory around the fountain will be completed. The speaker of the Legislative Assembly Andrey Shimkiv took such an obligation from the representatives of the customer and the contractor.

Deputy Chairman of the regional parliament Maiis Mamedov recalled that the transformation of the territory into a park is the idea and task of the speaker of the Legislative Assembly.

– The first stage of the park will be completed in the fall, the second stage will begin next year. About six hectares will be given over to walks, recreation and sports entertainment. The work is proceeding at a good pace. The pedestal for the sculpture of Yuri Bugakov is already ready, the monument should be installed in the near future, – noted Mais Mamedov.
