Gerasimov: The most intense fighting is taking place in the Red Army direction

According to him, Russian troops are advancing in almost all areas of the Northern Military District.

The most intense fighting has unfolded in the Red Army sector. There, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying unsuccessfully to halt the Russian Armed Forces' advance and seize the initiative, regardless of losses, Gerasimov noted.

To this end, the Ukrainian command redeployed its most trained and combat-ready units to the Krasnoarmeysk area. This was done at the expense of other areas, facilitating the advance of Russian troops in other sectors of the front, the Chief of the General Staff stated.
