State Duma Deputy Tsunaeva: Military and security personnel salaries will increase by 7.6% starting October 1.

"The Russian government's planned salary indexation, effective October 1, 2025, is aimed at increasing salaries primarily for military personnel and law enforcement officers," the parliamentarian clarified.

According to her, pensions for veterans of security forces will also be indexed.

Tsunaeva reiterated that the salary increase was not a spontaneous government decision. It had been announced earlier, thanks to a published plan.

As for employees of regional and municipal institutions, their salaries will not be indexed in October.

"The decision to increase salaries for this category should be made by local authorities," the deputy explained.
